While serving in the military she was recognized in three leadership schools as the top physical fitness student of the cycle, is one of a very few females to wear the air assault badge (a very strenuous/ physical course and also the Combat Medic Badge, awarded while supporting the 1st Infantry Division and prison camps during the Saudi war of 1991. Leona made a career in mastering physical fitness, these stepping stones led to the love for movement and how it aids in a healthy lifestyle.
Her Psychotherapeutic skills have aided cancer patients in recovery when told that there were no recovery methods available, working toward healing the community has always been a staple in Leona's life.
As stated by Leona " My goals are to promote healing and growth while removing negative cognitions and images that have caused psychological damage, this being done by the creation of a network of self-help groups focused on healing, wellness, and empowerment with my focus being Dance Therapy, Movement and Nutrition.
Nutrition is the cornerstone in the field of fitness. When discussing strengthening families it begins with learning to care for self 1st, nutrition then movement. Dance therapy and nutrition both offer a connection between parents and youth improving relationships and strengthening families, and this tremendously aids to promote the needed recovery from trauma and reducing truancy.

CHICAGO STYLE STEPPIN' - It's not just a dance, it's the music, the moves, the clothes, the mood. Steppin' is an art form that stirs the soul...it's a rhythm as unique as the dance itself with smooth steps and even smoother turns.
TURBO KICK - An interval based, full body workout that begins with a sports-specific warm-up. High paced intervals follow with kickboxing-specific strength/endurance training sequences and easy-to-follow combinations. Class ends with a mind/body-like (think Tai-Chi) cool-down.
PIYO - Piyo combines the muscle sculpting, core firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility benefits of yoga. It's a true fat burning low-impact program, and you'll get incredibly defined.
AFRICAN DANCE - A fun and exciting aerobic workout that includes African dance moves inspired by various cultures.
MIXXEDFIT - MixxedF it is a people-inspired dance fitness program that is a mix of explosive dancing and boot camp toning. Everything about our dance fitness program can be describerd as explosive - all of our movements are always big, exaggerated, full-out and our very best!
YOGA - Yoga combines physical exercises, mental meditation, and breathing techniques together to create the mind, body, and spirit connection. We offer Flow, Meditative, and Senior Yoga.
Emotional Emancipation Circles - We offer emotional help groups in which Black people everywhere can heal and move beyond surviving to flourishing. Where we can enjoy life in all its fullness, mind, body, and spirit.
We offer specific workshops that will cover multiple topics from nutrition, women's health, financial wellness to movie talk backs.
Our air massage chair is designed to relieve tension and evoke relaxation. Choose between 10, 20, or 30 minute increments.
